About

Who We Are

We are Kari and Caleb Bedford. Together, we share a house with our 4 boys and a large blended family that is mostly here in North Mississippi. I spent the last 20 years working in sales and customer service. Most recently, I spent 12 years as a commodity broker specializing in proteins. The short explanation there is, with the help of my work family, I sold and transported processed chicken. We moved millions of pounds of protein all over North America.

The Beginning of The Fox Den

At the beginning of 2021, we started working on the Fox Den and officially opened on April 30th. Currently, we are labeled as an adult convenience store because our store is not like any other. Our store features a CBD Dispensary, Smoke Shop, Cigar Humidor, Beverage Cooler, Snacks, Smoking Accessories, along with a Club Room for smoking cigars and pipe tobacco.

A Life-Changing Moment

In September of 2019, my life was altered suddenly. My 12-year-old son and I were on our way home from visiting my father. My dad was suffering from cancer at the time. A lady hit us on the passenger side of my truck, flipping us and tossing my son and me from the vehicle, causing severe injuries to us both. My son had to spend 10 days, for surgery and recovery, at LeBonheur in Memphis. I was out of the Tupelo hospital in 3 days, mainly because I refused to stay. My dad went into hospice while my boy was still in bad shape and passed away while we were all focused on my son. From then I had 2 more accidents in the next 6 months.

Searching for Healing

I was diagnosed with PTSD in June of 2020, when I finally went for help, but therapy was not working for me. As a THC user, I tried to use marijuana to help heal. As a result, my usage became excessive. I desperately needed a change. This led me to search for alternative options as I do not always approve of pharmaceuticals nor their list of side effects. I found Delta 8 Hemp products and started experimenting with the various products available. I found it to help just as well as marijuana without putting me on the couch or reducing my ability to function. Recovery had finally begun a few months shy of a year from the initial accident and not near soon enough.

Building Something Different

From there, The Fox Den was born. Through many sleepless nights and everything that I have learned from working for others, I have put all I am into this one-of-a-kind location because I believe in it. I believe in doing business the right way. I believe in the ability of hemp products to aid people in healthy and natural ways to find relief. I believe in doing business with honesty and integrity, even when it makes me look bad. I believe that we are all better together. The more we do for others, the more we can grow as a community. “Better Together” is not a motto I stick on Facebook for attention. It’s an offer to whoever needs it. We are here for you.

I often feel like I’m standing on a wagon in the Old West talking about some wonderful tincture that cures everything, though it’s not far off.

I hope this tells you a little about who we are and the type of business we want to do with our community.

Thank you for getting to know us! I look forward to seeing everyone that gives us a shot at helping with their needs.

Caleb Bedford.
